PUBLIC HEARING Due to the COVID 19 coronavirus pandemic, the Golden Triangle Planning and Development District/Area Agency on Aging and the Mississippi Division of Aging and Adult Services will not conduct a public hearing on their respective fiscal year 2021 plans for services to older adults. However, this announcement provides an opportunity for individuals to comment on the goals outlined in this article. The Golden Triangle Area Agency on Aging provides services to older adults in Choctaw, Clay, Lowndes, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Webster, and Winston counties to assist them in maintaining their independence in their own homes and communities. Mississippi Division of Aging and Adult Services goals for fiscal year 2021 are as follows: Strengthen the aging network to enable partners to remain viable and sustainable and to develop a network of aging service partners. Ensure that long-term services are provided to enable older Mississippians, their families and caregivers to fully participate in their communities for as long as possible. Ensure older Mississippians, caregivers and families have access to resources and services that are reliable.
